Vacation Bible School

Registration continues until June 10!

This summer there will be two VBS sessions: July 23-27 and July 30-August 3, 2012

The first session (or First Term) is July 23 through 27 from 11:00 to 2:00 and will be for children who did not attend Hogwarts last year and for children under 6 years of age. The second session (or Second Term) is July 30 through August 3 from 11:00 to 2:00 and will be for the kids who attended Hogwarts last year. The cost is $40 per child.

The camps are filling fast so please register as soon as possible. Registration forms are available below. Forms are also available in the Narthex, outside the church office, and on the bulletin board outside the Preschool office. Please contact Lisa Arthur with questions or for more information.

Check out Harry Potter VBS 2011 Highlights!

VBS Staff Information and Training Session,  on May 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

We are looking for a few more adult Hogwarts staff members! If you love the Harry Potter stories and want to be apart this exciting summer experience, please consider volunteering to be a Hogwarts staff member for either or both weeks of the camp. The commitment ranges from only one day (3 hours) to the entire week. Training is provided. Please contact Lisa Arthur with questions or for more information.

VBS Prep Sessions begin Saturday, May 19 from 10:00 am to 2:00 noon

Anyone willing to help with materials prep is enthusiastically encouraged to stop by and either help with projects on site or pick up materials and instructions to work on at home. Projects include machine sewing house scarves, hot gluing monster book covers, and painting various items. This is a great way for teenagers to pick up service hours. Prep session will continue on Saturday and Sunday afternoons though June and July with the exception of Memorial Day Weekend. Please contact Lisa Arthur with questions or for more information.

VBS Showcase on June 10 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the grounds of Holy Comforter

In preparation for the Hogwarts VBS, families will have a final opportunity to register, try some Hogwarts fare, visit Ollivander's wand shoppe, purchase knitted house scarves, learn Hogwarts trivia, meet some of the Hogwarts staff and prefects and, of course, watch and/or participate in a Quidditch demonstration.
