Holy Comforter welcomes Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington for Homelesss Awareness Sunday on September 24 at all three worship services.

The Reverend David Wolf, Executive Director of Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington and Larry Gooch, a successful participant of Samaritan Ministry’s Next Steps program, will worship with us. The Adult Forum will also be dedicated to this topic while our Sunday School classes will participate in a mini information-gathering homeless walk-a-thon around our church’s perimeter.

Samaritan Ministry is a Diocesan endorsed organization which helps the more than 11,000 people in the D.C. area who do not have a place to call home. 30,000 of these same people are unemployed. Samaritan Ministry empowers people to make positive life changes one step at a time.

For more information, visit the Samaritan Ministry website HERE and learn about participant stories HERE. Questions? Please contact Candace Dibblee, our parish representative for Samaritan Ministry.
