This special Sunday School offering is for 1st graders and children new to Sunday School who have not yet participated in this program.

This 8-week special lesson series for 1st graders and older is designed to introduce children to the important rituals and meaning of the Eucharist and other parts of our liturgy. The children will attend 7 consecutive lessons during Sunday School led by different members of the clergy, staff and lay ministers. The program will conclude with a special recognition ceremony and reception. Lessons will include interactive tutorials on the Eucharistic vessels, the Church calendar, the clerical vestments, a tour of the Sanctuary, an organ demonstration, a manna making session and an instructed Eucharist lead by the Reverend Jon Strand.   • February 2: Vergers and Acolytes, Parts of the Liturgy; with June Harper
  • February 9: Music in Liturgy; with Dr. David Kelley
  • February 16: Eucharistic Vessels, Church Calendar, Church Colors; with Lolly Mixter
  • March 1: Parish Business Meeting (possible Manna Making for 1st Graders)
  • March 8: Christian Seder Meal; with the Rev. Jon Strand and Brynn Pacitti
  • March 15: Instructed Eucharist and Tour of the Sanctuary; with the Rev. Jon Strand
  • March 22: Introduction and Vestments; with Helen Mertz
  • March 29: Recognition Ceremony and Reception
