Episcopal 101

Mondays, January 25–May 17, 2021
7:15 PM – 8:45 PM

Episcopal 101 is a class for newcomers and old-timers alike—anyone who seeks a deeper relationship with God and to learn more about the Episcopal Church.

Over the course of 14 sessions we will dive into the theology and history of the Episcopal Church, scripture, and the Book of Common Prayer. We’ll explore different forms of prayer and learn about the ministries of Holy Comforter. At the end, some will choose to be baptized, confirmed, or received into the Episcopal Church, but that is not a requirement. All are welcome in this safe space to ask all of your questions. Come and experience the presence of the living Christ in one another, even on Zoom!

We will base some of our discussions on readings in two books, both of which are available for purchase on Amazon: Welcome to a Life of Faith in the Episcopal Church by Megan Castellan and Those Episkopols by Dennis R. Maynard (revised edition, 2011). The total cost should be about $30, depending on if you're a Prime member, or potentially less if you order used copies; financial assistance is available if needed.

Questions? For more information, contact Frances Sullinger, Tom MacCracken, or Norma Williamson.

We are limiting participation to 20 people. Please register HERE by January 23 if you plan to attend.
