Music

Music at Holy Comforter is offered to the glory of God. We understand that music has the power to reach people on an emotional and visceral level that goes beyond the spoken word. The musicians at Holy Comforter strive to harness their musical gifts not only to reinforce and illuminate the readings of the day, but to inspire and touch people's lives.

The choirs of Holy Comforter draw from the wealth of the Anglican choral tradition. Our continually expanding repertoire ranges from plainchant to music by modern composers. We consider ourselves fortunate to be Episcopalians who have inherited a fine musical tradition, and we believe that it always will stand the test of time.

Holy Comforter's choirs are comprised solely of volunteer musicians, from both the church and the larger community. All groups welcome new members at any time. If you or someone you know is interested in participating in any of the music programs at Holy Comforter, please contact David Kelley, Minister of Music, to set up an interview. Church of the Holy Comforter is an affiliate of the Royal School of Church Music in America.
