  • Donations: Donations are always needed and are accepted during business hours at the shop. We will stop accepting winter clothing on March 1 and will start accepting spring and summer clothing. Decorative and kitchen items will always be greatly appreciated.
  • Volunteer: Please contact Helen Mertz if you are able to fill one or more of the openings HERE. We need your help and your time will be greatly appreciated.

For questions, please contact Lisa Wood or Helen Mertz.

The Pennywise Thrift Shop was created as a fund raising endeavor of Church of the Holy Comforter in 1961.

For over 50 years the shop has been recycling and selling donated and consigned affordable, lightly used clothing and household items from and to the Vienna community. The proceeds from the shop fund a variety of ministries and activities within our parish as well as numerous community charitable programs and services.

The success and popularity of Pennywise is directly attributed to the many volunteers from Holy Comforter who work in the shop and to the generous donations from the community.
