Marriage Ministry

The marriage ministry serves to support and encourage married people in their marriage walks in our Christian community. This ministry is aimed at married people of all ages and stages, including thriving marriages and those going through struggles.

  • Date Nights
  • Marriage Retreats
  • Small Group Discussions
  • Marriage Mentoring
  • All are welcome!

Upcoming Events:

  • Saturday, November 10 - Date Night and Kids Night In
    5–8:30 p.m.

  • Saturday, February 9 - Date Night and Kids Night In
    5–8:30 p.m.

We are encouraging all couples throughout the church to go out on a date night (individually, not all together). Come to the church between 5:00 and 8:30 p.m. to pick up a date night bag, including discussion questions, something sweet, and hopefully coupons to area restaurants. Couples with babies or children can drop them off at church from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. for pizza and a program that will emphasize empathy and communication through games and fun activities. Suggested $5/child donation to cover pizza. For more information about the Marriage Ministry and to sign up for the children's program, please contact Katie Krogh.

  • Winter or Lent 2019

We are planning a multi-week Marriage Ministry group, including topics such as communication, conflict, shared meaning/legacy, and others.

Some Great Resources:

  • Rector recommended! Check out Dr. John Gottman's Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work (Available for $9 on Amazon or check it out from our church Library). This book is easy to read, insightful, and actionable. It contains exercises that will strengthen your marriage.
  • We also recommend subscribing to the Marriage Minute, a free email twice a week with practical, useful marriage tips that apply to all.  It really does take just a minute to read.
  • To take a sneak peek at a great marriage topic, check out this fabulous 2-minute YouTube video on Emotional Bank Accounts.
