Confirmation Class

Monday evenings in Lower Rodman House

Please note: Confirmation Class is on hiatus for the summer and will resume in September.

Holy Comforter's Confirmation Class uses the Confirm Not Conform (CnC) curriculum. This one-year program is open to all 10th through 12th graders considering confirmation in the Episcopal Church. It is designed to help participants take responsibility for understanding their faith and its power and possibilities. Candidates may choose to participate in this program, and upon completion, may choose to be confirmed. Goals of this program:

  • To encourage program participants to open their hearts and minds in ways that will help them question and explore what they really believe about the Christian faith and the church, and why they believe what they do.
  • To help them ask the tough questions and to engage the issues of their time in real and honest ways, and to then seek out answers to their questions through prayer, conversation, action, and reflection with each other and with adult mentors.
  • To help them to see, understand, and believe that they can take ownership of and responsibility for their faith and for their roles in the church.
