Welcome to Church of the Holy Comforter, a parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia. We are a generous and spirited faith community that moves to an ancient rhythm of worship, formation, and outreach—a rhythm always made new, helping us to find deeper connection with others and with the fullness of God's life in Christ. As people living, working, and raising families through the hectic pace of life in Northern Virginia, Holy Comforter offers us space to go deeper, to nourish the heart and mind, and to connect with opportunities to make the world a better place. By this sacred rhythm, ancient yet ever new, we shape our lives, and keep our eyes on what happened in and through the remarkable life of Jesus—what he said and did before he died, and what we believe he accomplished after his death. There are good reasons to believe, to give one's heart to God's mission in this world, and to deeply trust the One "whose light divides the day from the night and turns the shadow of death into the morning."
