Description
In the Ministry of Music, more is at stake than the choir anthem on Sunday morning. In a liturgical church like Holy Comforter, musical moments comprise probably almost 60% of the total service time. Music is the soul and spirit of the liturgy. It is through music, as well as the proclaimed Word, that people's hearts are touched, their souls stirred, their hopes lifted. Choirs help the congregation sing the hymns, songs and liturgical responses. Choirs contribute in vital ways to the liturgy's momentum and spirit. Various Instrumentalists are regularly used in Sunday liturgies as solo or for accompaniment.
