William Howard Petersen died on Tuesday, March 4, 2008.  Bill was a parishioner at Holy Comforter for 36 years.  He began a Verger program shortly after Fr. Rick’s arrival and raised the Acolyte program, not only in numbers, but excellence, as well.  Before assuming the position of Parish Administrator in 2006, Bill worked for the National Cathedral as the Worship Department Manager. 

A Rite of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Holy Comforter on Saturday, March 8, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. with interment at the Columbarium.  A reception will follow in McGill Hall.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Church of the Holy Comforter in memory of Bill Petersen.  If you have any questions, please call or email Sue Davy at sdavy@holycomforter.com.
