Ministries & Support

Altar flowers arrive at a parishioner's home as a reminder of prayers as they recover from illness.  Homemade bread and jam is delivered to a family experiencing loss.  A Lay Eucharistic Minister visits the homebound on Sunday.  Clergy routinely visit members with serious and terminal illnesses.  These are just a few of the ways we care for one another at the Church of the Holy Comforter.

Pastoral care within our large parish is a one-on-one ministry.  It is an opportunity to live out the Great Commandment within our faith community.  We have trained Stephen Minister and Listening Hearts Discerners, ministries of transportation, meals, senior events, support groups, funeral receptions and a very busy prayer chain.

As you explore our web site, you will learn about the pastoral care ministries at the Church of the Holy Comforter.  Perhaps you are interested in becoming involved as a volunteer.  Maybe you need someone who will listen with a nonjudgemental heart.

The Church of the Holy Comforter is a community that deeply cares for its members.
